FAITHFUL WISDOM DEVOTIONAL
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV

Gratitude is easy when life is going well.
It becomes much harder when the week feels heavy, plans fall apart, prayers seem unanswered, or you are carrying more than you expected.
But Scripture does not tell us to give thanks only when everything feels good.
It says, “In every thing give thanks.”
That does not mean we have to be thankful for pain, disappointment, or hardship itself. It means we can still find reasons to thank God while walking through difficult seasons.
Sometimes gratitude sounds like:
Thank You, Lord, for giving me strength today.
Thank You for the people who still love me.
Thank You for providing what I needed.
Thank You for staying with me even when I feel overwhelmed.
Gratitude changes where we place our attention.
Instead of allowing the difficulty to become the only thing we see, gratitude reminds us that God is still present, still faithful, and still worthy of praise.
A hard week does not erase God’s goodness.
You may not have everything you prayed for yet, but there is still something to thank Him for today.
Gratitude During Hard Weeks
Take a Moment to Reflect
What has been difficult for you lately?
What are three things you can thank God for today?
Have your challenges caused you to overlook any blessings?
How can you practice gratitude more intentionally this week?

Prayer
Father, thank You for being faithful in every season. Help me recognize Your goodness even when life feels difficult. Give me a grateful heart and remind me of the blessings I sometimes overlook. Help me focus less on what is missing and more on who You are.
In Jesus' name, amen.
"Give thanks. Notice His goodness. Keep trusting."
