Romans 5:3–4 says:
"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." (NIV)

These verses remind us that trials are not meaningless. Through Christ, even suffering has a purpose.. it shapes us. Hardship produces endurance, endurance forms godly character, and that character anchors us in hope that does not disappoint.

In daily life, this means viewing difficulties not as dead ends but as opportunities for growth. When we face struggles with faith, they can strengthen us, refine our character, and deepen our hope in God’s promises. What feels like pain today can become the foundation of tomorrow’s strength and hope.
