Psalm 34:18 says:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (NIV)
This verse is a promise of God’s nearness in times of deep pain and sorrow. When our hearts are broken and our spirits feel crushed, God does not stand far away.. He draws near with compassion and rescue. His presence becomes our comfort in the midst of grief.
In daily life, this means we don’t have to carry heartbreak alone. God sees our pain, feels our sorrow, and stays close when we need Him most. He offers healing, strength, and hope, reminding us that even in the darkest moments, we are never abandoned.
