Psalm 103:12 says:
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." (NIV)
This verse paints a powerful picture of God’s forgiveness. The distance between east and west is immeasurable, symbolizing how completely God separates us from our sins when we turn to Him. His mercy doesn’t just cover our mistakes.. it removes them entirely.
In daily life, this means we don’t have to live weighed down by guilt or shame. When God forgives, He doesn’t hold our sins over us; He sets us free. It also reminds us to extend that same kind of grace to others letting go of grudges and choosing forgiveness that restores peace and freedom.
