Philippians 3:8 says:
"What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ." (NIV)
This verse shows Paul’s perspective on life after encountering Jesus. He recognized that no achievement, possession, or status could compare to the priceless value of knowing Christ. Everything else paled in significance compared to the joy, hope, and eternal life found in Him.
In daily life, this means reordering our priorities so that Christ remains above all. Career success, wealth, or recognition may seem important, but they cannot compare to the treasure of a life anchored in Jesus. By seeing Him as our greatest gain, we find lasting fulfillment, true purpose, and unshakable joy.
