John 16:20 says:
"Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy."(NIV)
This verse comes from Jesus’ words to His disciples as He prepared them for His death and resurrection. He acknowledged the reality of their sorrow but also promised that it would not last forever.. grief would be transformed into joy through God’s redemptive plan.
In daily life, this reminds us that seasons of pain and mourning are not permanent. God can take even the hardest moments and bring joy out of them. What feels overwhelming today can be the very thing God uses tomorrow to reveal His comfort, hope, and restoration. Our sorrow may last for a time, but in Christ, joy always has the final word.
