John 15:5 says:
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (NIV)
This verse highlights the necessity of staying connected to Jesus. Just as branches cannot survive or bear fruit without being attached to the vine, we cannot flourish spiritually apart from Him. Our strength, growth, and fruitfulness all flow from our relationship with Christ.
In daily life, this means depending on Jesus for guidance, strength, and purpose. When we remain close to Him.. through prayer, His Word, and obedience.. our lives naturally bear fruit like love, joy, peace, and good works. But when we try to live apart from Him, we lose the source of true life and power.
