Job 1:21 says:
"Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised." (NIV)

This verse reflects Job’s response after experiencing devastating loss. Instead of cursing God, Job humbly acknowledges that everything he had was given by the Lord, and even in loss, God is still worthy of praise. It reveals a heart of surrender and unwavering faith, even in suffering.

In daily life, this means recognizing that everything we have.. our possessions, our health, even our time.. is a gift from God. When we face hardship or loss, we can choose to trust Him rather than turn to bitterness. Like Job, we are called to worship and honor God in both seasons of blessing and seasons of trial, knowing His sovereignty and goodness never change.
