Genesis 50:20

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

Genesis 50:20 says:
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."(NIV)

This verse is Joseph’s powerful declaration to his brothers after years of betrayal, slavery, and hardship. What they meant for evil, God used for good. It shows His sovereignty in turning pain and injustice into purpose and redemption.

In daily life, this means we can trust that even the hardest seasons and the deepest wounds are not wasted. What others may do to hurt us, God can transform into something that brings healing, growth, and even blessing for others. It’s a reminder that His plans always prevail, and He can turn trials into testimonies.
