Deuteronomy 8:2 says:
"Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commands." (NIV)
This verse reflects on God’s purpose in the Israelites’ wilderness journey. It wasn’t just about reaching the Promised Land it was about shaping their hearts, teaching them dependence, and revealing their faithfulness.
In daily life, this reminds us that seasons of testing are often seasons of preparation. God uses challenges to reveal our hearts, build our character, and draw us closer to Him. Even in the wilderness, He is leading us with purpose and love.
