Deuteronomy 16:17 says:
"Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you." (NIV)
This verse highlights the principle of proportional giving. God doesn’t ask everyone to give the same, but to give according to how He has blessed them. It’s not about equal amounts, but equal sacrifice, rooted in gratitude and faithfulness.
In daily life, this means giving should always reflect both thankfulness and trust in God’s provision. Whether our resources are little or much, offering back to Him in proportion to what we’ve received honors His blessings in our lives. True generosity flows from the heart, not comparison, and reflects a spirit of worship.
