1 Corinthians 15:54–55

"When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’ ‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’"

1 Corinthians 15:54–55 says:
"When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true:
‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’
‘Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?’"
(NIV)

These verses celebrate the ultimate hope believers have in Christ.. the promise of resurrection and eternal life. Death, which once brought fear and finality, is defeated through Jesus’ victory. What is mortal will be replaced with immortality, and what is temporary will give way to eternal life.

In daily life, this means we can live without fear of death or hopelessness. Christ’s victory gives us confidence that death does not have the final word.. life in Him does. It also encourages us to endure hardships with hope, knowing that one day all pain, sorrow, and mortality will be overcome by eternal victory in Christ.
